American Muscle Cars for Sale in Dubai and Saudi Arabia
We source classic American muscle cars privately for buyers in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, mostly from the United States, where the supply is. The appeal in the Gulf is practical as well as emotional: US-market cars are left-hand drive, so a muscle car over 30 years old fits the UAE's classic registration route without the right-hand-drive question that complicates Japanese and British classics. We do not publish prices for this segment. Every car is quoted on its own documentation.
The catch is authenticity. Muscle cars are one of the most widely cloned segments of the classic market: a base car dressed up as a high-performance version can look identical in photos, and the price difference sits entirely in the paperwork. That is where we start.
The muscle cars Gulf buyers ask for
These are the models most associated with the segment, with the first document we ask for on each. Prices are quoted per car, since trim, engine and documentation move them more than the model name does.
| Model | Generation | Verify first |
|---|---|---|
| Ford Mustang, including the 1965-68 fastback | First generation, 1964-1973 | VIN and door data plate codes; a Marti Report for 1967-on cars |
| Chevrolet Corvette C2 Sting Ray | 1963-1967 | Engine stamp pad against the VIN, trim tag, originality to judged standards |
| Chevrolet Camaro, including SS, RS and Z/28 | First generation, 1967-1969 | Cowl tag and drivetrain codes; paperwork for any SS or Z/28 claim |
| Dodge Charger, including R/T | Second generation, 1968-1970 | Fender tag and broadcast sheet, above all for Hemi or R/T claims |
| Pontiac GTO | 1964-1974 | Pontiac Historic Services documentation for the car |
Clones, tributes and what the paperwork proves
A tribute car, openly built to look like a rarer version, is a legitimate thing to own if it is sold as one and priced as one. The problem is a clone sold as the real thing. On muscle cars, the evidence that separates them is well established:
- Factory build documents. A Marti Report for Fords, Pontiac Historic Services records, a Mopar broadcast sheet, or a GM Protect-O-Plate where one survives.
- VIN decoding. On many of these cars the VIN itself encodes the engine or series, so it either supports the claimed version or it does not.
- Stamping. Engine and body number stamping checked for signs of re-stamping, and partial VINs on the block where the factory applied them.
- Tags. Door data plates, cowl tags and fender tags read against the build documents, and checked for signs of being moved or reproduced.
The inspection is done by an independent specialist you approve, named before you pay. How the rest of the file works is on how we verify a car.
Send us the model and version you want, or the VIN of a car you are looking at. We start with the paperwork.

Any 1960s or early-1970s muscle car is well past the RTA's 30-year line, and because it is left-hand drive it fits standard UAE registration without the right-hand-drive exception. Once it passes the technical test on brakes, lights, tyres and structural integrity, it can be registered on a Classic plate. Duty is 5% of CIF value and VAT 5% on the duty-inclusive value, with no discount for classics.
Most cars come from the US. The export step is the one that trips people up: US Customs and Border Protection needs the original title and export documents at the port at least 72 hours before a used vehicle is loaded, so we confirm a clean title before purchase. We ship collector-grade cars in an enclosed container to Jebel Ali. The full route is on importing a classic car to the UAE, and what the plate means afterwards on classic car plates in Dubai.
One Gulf-specific check: big carburetted V8s and summer heat need a healthy cooling system, fresh fuel lines and sound rubber. We look at all three before a car is shipped, not after it overheats in August.
Muscle cars for sale in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is harder. Ordinary used-vehicle imports are capped at 5 years old from manufacture, and the widely repeated 30-year classic exemption could not be confirmed against any official SASO or ZATCA source. Buying a muscle car in Dubai and driving it across does not avoid that: the same rules apply at the Al Batha border.
In practice, a muscle car for sale in Saudi Arabia today is usually a car already in the Kingdom, and those are the ones we look for first for Riyadh and Jeddah buyers. If a car has to come in from abroad, we confirm the current position with a licensed broker for that specific car before anything is bought. Selling a muscle car privately
If you own a documented muscle car in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, the documents are the asset. A Marti Report, a broadcast sheet or a set of Pontiac records turns a nice car into a provable one, and provable cars sell to serious buyers without a public listing. We start with a quiet valuation and introduce one qualified buyer at a time; our guide to selling a classic car privately covers the process.
Frequently asked questions
Can an American muscle car be registered in Dubai?
Yes. A 1960s or early-1970s muscle car is over 30 years old and left-hand drive, so it qualifies for RTA classic registration once it passes the technical test on brakes, lights, tyres and structural integrity. Import duty is 5% of CIF value plus 5% VAT.
How do I know a muscle car is not a clone?
Through factory documentation and physical checks: a Marti Report, Pontiac Historic Services records or a Mopar broadcast sheet where available, the VIN decoded against the claimed version, and engine stamping and body tags inspected for tampering. A tribute car is fine if it is sold and priced as one.
Can I import a muscle car into Saudi Arabia?
It is uncertain. Saudi Arabia caps ordinary used-vehicle imports at 5 years old, and the 30-year classic exemption quoted by shipping brokers could not be confirmed against official SASO or ZATCA texts. We look for cars already in the Kingdom first and confirm the rules per car with a licensed broker before any import.
Why don't you publish muscle car prices?
Because the spread inside one model is too wide to be useful. Engine, trim, originality and documentation can multiply the price of two cars that look the same. We quote real cars, with the paperwork that justifies the number.
